UPDATE TO COME!
i care not to divulge the things that have been going on with me for the past week. on top of catching a semi-flu from peter (i say semi only because it wasn't as bad as previous attacks, but that may be because i actually took care of myself this time), just thinking of the flurry of other happenings might just cause a mental breakdown.
i think i missed ONE day of taking pics though due to the flu. i just slept all day, so i guess i didn't miss much. lol. i'll update tonight when my thoughts re-align themselves.

Day 054 / 365 - Such Is Life
[insert photo here]
#054
Guess what people? I'm sick! YUP. WTF, right? Peter started feeling sick 2 days or so ago and lo and behold, I caught whatever he has! Gosh, my body is aching SO SO bad right now because I just got back from the store. I got some alka-seltzer type pills to hopefully curb this bug, but it tastes heinous! I also bought a gallon of OJ, chicken noodle soup, & Gatorade. Debating whether or not to take the Mucinex yet.. I think I'll use that as a last resort.
In addition to body aches, I'm coughing (I never complete got rid of it!) more, sneezing, runny nose, and super duper tired. WHY ME? Hopefully this doesn't last as long.. I think I might cry :( FML if it's the flu!
Oh, I did take a photo though. It was nice outside today. Too bad I felt freakin cold in 70 degree weather! I'm hoping to get it posted tonight, but right now I just really need to lay down.

Day 053 / 365 - Midnight Snack & Nostalgia
#053
My life is rather uneventful. Today was no exception. Stayed up late because I had to finish updates on this website. Woke up late. Check my e-mails, messages, comments, etc. I did my sweepstakes, ate some gyoza, & played Call of Duty 4 for a few hours. I played a lot of the 'know-it-all' quizzes on facebook and worked on getting a 100k+ high score on bejeweled since last weeks scores were cleared. I also spent a good amount of time reading the news, as I always do everyday. I don't know why, but I've developed a habit of reading the news, no matter how horrid, stupid, or morbid the story. I guess I just like to be 'in-the-know' about things and my brain likes to collect a lot of random information. Anyhow, this story is probably one of the more morbid stories I've read in a while:
Yep, the title says it all. Anyhow, after my COD4 session, I got really hungry and decided to have a kimchi bowl with some vienna sausage in it. I probably shouldn't be eating late at night nor should I be drinking out of a 2 liter bottle of Pepsi, but ehh. I already opened the Pepsi earlier today and I need to drink it as fast as possible before the carbonation is lost :)
While eating, my brother happen to come online and we started chatting. I left him a comment hoping he would know about a certain song that I've been looking for for a REALLY long time. I can't find the remixed version. This song is from the mid 90s so it's hard to come across. In any case, we started talking about old school songs that we used to love. Good memories. I miss the old school rap/hip-hop songs from those days. My brother reminded me about a song I really loved back then, E-40 "Things Will Never Change." I'm hoping my brother still has the CD with the song I'm looking for. I had to smile when he said, "I know I didn't throw [the cd] away because I knew you liked that song." He also remembered how much I loved the song "Lately" by Divine. I still listen to it a lot. Aw, I miss my brother :(

Day 052 / 365 - Guitar Hero & Newsboy Beanie
#052
I finally went and picked up my paycheck today. After that, I cashed in on a deal I just couldn't resist. I headed over to GameStop and bought Guitar Hero: Aerosmith + Wired Guitar Controller for $10. Yep, that's it! Game = $9.98, Guitar = $.01. I mostly wanted it for the guitar, but the game makes the deal even more slick! This is only good for XBOX 360. Gotta love it! Now Peter & I can battle it out on GH II, GH III, GH Aerosmith, & Rock Band! Even the worker was surprised to see it so cheap, "Wow.. that's a really good deal!"
After that I went to Target and browsed around for a bit. I needed to get out of the house. I almost made it out of the store without buying anything, but then I saw this newsboy beanie as I was about to head out. Typical. So I wore it around a bit while I contemplated on buying it or not. I ended up buying it of course 'cause I've been wanting one for so long! Haha. No more spending money for a while. Seriously.

Day 051 / 365 - The Fast & The Furious *
#051
I spent the day recovering from the previous night. No hangover, just one of those days where your body knows the happenings of the night prior. I had to get my car from Jared's place. I took Lexi with me as I walked there. She loves her walks! Unfortunately, I can't handle walking Lexi & Zeus at the same time, so Zeus stayed with Peter. Lol. Apparently, Zeus was just sitting at the top of the stairs after we left. Peter said he kept crying and punching the door (Zeus has a bad habit of punching the door right before we let them out). To appease the poor boy, Peter gave him a chew treat. Spoiled! I found him happily chewing on his treat once we got back. Lexi looked so cute in the back of my car. Haha. Too bad she shook herself and got fur all over the back :( I'll have to vacuum it now.
We decided to go watch the new Fast and the Furious movie. Cyndi said it was pretty good and I've been wanting to watch it, so this was the perfect time. I used the Fandango codes that I got from a trade I did with someone (I got 4 Fandango codes for 6 sets of coupons) so the movie was FREE! Free always makes things better! Haha. We enjoyed the movie. I just wish there were more racing scenes. The first movie was all about cars, but this was more about plot. I prefer the former. At least I got to see the better version of my car in action (the Subaru WRX STi). I forgot to take a photo when we were AT the theater though. It was surprisingly PACKED! The photo above is on our way home. I like the array of colors.

Day 050 / 365 - Pupukahi I Holomua *
#050
It was really really hard for me to get up again today! I woke up so late. I had to rush to get this website done before I had to get ready to help out at the luau. I didn't even go and pick up my paycheck. I got all the updates done though just in time. It took me about 3 hours or so to get everything done. The coding on that website is just so messy... it was frustrating.
Anyhow, today was UNC's annual luau event. Layne asked me a couple of days prior if I wanted to help out and serve food just so that we could watch the show. The girl upstairs never fails to park behind my car, so I just decided to walk to the UC. It was so fricken cold and windy! All I was wearing underneath my jacket was a t-shirt since the "uniform" was a white t-shirt & dark jeans. Here's a picture of some of us before the festivities (Chad, Jared, Me, Cyndi).
I ended up serving the vegetarian stew. How ironic... I would never eat that thing. Lol! My back was killing me. My abs (muscles in general!) are so weak that it can't support my back. Long periods of standing KILL my back. At least we got free food and saw the show. It made me miss home so bad :( I feel like something was missing though.. the atmosphere wasn't like previous years.. the show was also short (though, that was a welcomed change!). Perhaps I'm just seeing things from a different perspective this time around? Been there, done that sort of thing? Nah... something was definitely missing!
A new addition this year though was the performing of the Haka, pictured above. I'm not sure if the Haka was ever done in previous years, but it was the first time I saw it in the last 4/5 years. The boys gave it their all and resonated their energy throughout the room. I certainly got a kick out of it. Sad to say, this will probably be the last UNC luau I'll ever see. It's been a good run.
After the luau, we pre-gamed at Jared's house and hung out for a bit before heading to the after party at the Penalty Box. Jody drove up from Denver and most of us were feeling good by the time she arrived. The Box was packed with Hawaii kids. I got in a good amount of dancing. Peter finally got there around 12ish. He got me another vodka cranberry, but I just didn't want to drink anything anymore. All in all, it was a good night!

Day 049 / 365 - Hat Trick *
#049
After the Nuggets game, I'm not quite sure why, but I was still able to stay up late into the night. In the early morning hours, I managed my first "Hat Trick" in my sweepstakes run! A hat trick happens when you win 3 prizes (or more) in a day. I am so happy I got these wins! March was such a horrible month for me, sweepstakes wise. At least April started off on the right foot. I won:
- $20 Coke MasterCard (It's actually loaded with $25!)
- FREE Single Sized Mars Candy Bar
- T-mobile/CCL Branded Soccer T-shirt
I also received one of my free candy bar coupon in the mail (I've won 5 or 6 times so far, I think). Other than that, my day was rather uneventful. I spent most of it working on websites and editing our pictures from the Nuggets game, which I've posted on Facebook.

Day 048 / 365 - Korean BBQ Dinner & Nuggets Vs. Jazz
#048
And again, we came back super late and I just vegged out once we got home. But anyway, It was really really hard to get out of bed today. I managed to make a website that I designed live, but it wasn't before long that I had to get ready to go to Denver. Peter said it was our "date night" :)
On our way to Denver, we saw/heard another accident. This car rear-ended one of those moving truck type of vehicles. It never fails... we always seem to come across accidents on our way to Denver. We've actually witnessed quite a few of these accidents happen. TWO times, if we were driving any faster, we would've been hit! Crazy. There was another accident on I-25 that caused a good amount of traffic. It took us forever to get to the restaurant, but we made it!
Peter's mom ordered the food while we were still on the road, so when we got to the Korean restaurant (Seoul BBQ, i think?), the food was already there for the most part. I've never had Korean BBQ/Yakiniku before, although I've always wanted to try. THIS WAS FREAKIN AWESOME! The food was absolutely delicious. The Kalbi was super duper moist, soft, & flavor full. There were moments where I just sat there debating whether or not to swallow 'cause I could very well puke right then and there. I ate so much I literally wanted to puke, but it was so good. It was also nice to see Peter's mom again. I've been bugging him to go see her because it's been well over a month & they live in the same state! Lol.
After dinner, Peter & I made our way to the Pepsi Center to watch the Denver Nuggets vs. Utah Jazz game. $49 for 2 tickets, 2 t-shirts, & 2 beers + Fees ~$64. Not too shabby! Before the game we headed to the store.. Peter bought some Allen Iverson Jerseys for us (even though he's not with the nuggets anymore!) and a hat for himself. It was fun! We had a rough start, but we pulled through and beat the Jazz! I'd definitely like to see a play offs game. We're #2 in the West, baby!

Day 047 / 365 - Spaghetti Dinner & A Movie
#047
I unintentionally fell asleep again before I could post this picture. Lol. It happens quite often. Anywho, I spent a good portion of the day doing website work. Peter called and asked if I could cook some spaghetti for dinner. I've never cooked spaghetti before, lol. BUT I did it anyway. We had some leftover Prego sauce in the fridge and a can of diced tomatoes. I also chopped up some onions (OMG this was the worst!) that made me tear up sooo bad that I was cutting the onions with my eyes closed. I pretty much did want to cry. Lol. I added some bay leaves, salt, pepper, brown sugar, & ground beef. For the pasta, I added butter & salt. It was a little sweet, but altogether the spaghetti was a success! Add some Texas Toast garlic bread to that and everything comes together. I love garlic bread!
After dinner we watched "Twilight" since Peter bought the DVD for me the night prior. We were not impressed. Lol. WTF. The actors/actresses were horrible. The special effects were crappy. The lines were overly cheesy as hell (or maybe the actors sucked on that as well?) and the plot was lackluster. The movie wasn't bad, but I wouldn't say that it deserved all the hype. Kinda like Slumdog Millionaire. WAY TOO OVER HYPED. I know that the following movies will fill-in the gaps from this first movie, but my standards/expectations will definitely be lower in the next films. Perhaps I will be impressed then? Maybe the books will be better.. I need to get on that.
